An integrative approach

Humanistic

Creating a relationship built on authenticity, empathy and acceptance.

Psychodynamic

Exploring how past experiences and relationships continue to influence the present.

Existential

Making sense of questions around identity, meaning, freedom and responsibility.

Gestalt

Developing awareness of your thoughts, feelings and experience in the present moment.

From understanding to change.

Lasting change grows from understanding rather than judgement.

That doesn’t only mean understanding events from your past. It means becoming curious about how those experiences continue to influence the way you see yourself, relate to other people and move through the world today.

Sometimes that understanding arrives through conversation. Sometimes it emerges through emotions that have never had space to be felt. Sometimes it develops through what happens between us in the room itself.

Wherever it comes from, understanding creates choice — and choice creates the possibility of change.

What you can expect from me

A thoughtful and collaborative approach.

Curiosity rather than judgement.

Honesty where I believe it may be helpful.

Space to think without pressure to have immediate answers.

Therapy that adapts to you rather than expecting you to adapt to therapy.

The therapeutic relationship

How therapy feels matters as much as what is discussed. I hope to offer a space where you feel listened to, respected and accepted, even when we’re exploring experiences that are painful, confusing or hard to put into words.

You don’t need to perform.

You don’t need to find the perfect explanation.

You don’t need to become someone different before you’re worthy of being understood.

We’ll simply begin where you are.

Practical information

I completed my postgraduate training in integrative psychotherapy at the University of Lancashire in 2026. My qualification is currently awaiting formal ratification, and I am not taking clients until that is confirmed.

When I begin practising, I will be offering in-person psychotherapy around Rossendale, Lancashire, in weekly 50-minute sessions.

I am a student member of the BACP and work in accordance with its Ethical Framework.

Joining the waiting list

I expect to begin taking clients once my qualification is ratified, which I anticipate will be October 2026.

If you’d like to hear when I have availability, leave your details below. You don’t need to explain your situation – a name and an email address is enough. I’ll be in touch when I’m able to offer appointments.

Thinking about therapy?

Beginning therapy can feel like a significant step. You don’t need to know exactly what you want to say, or whether therapy is definitely the right answer.

If you’re wondering whether working together might be helpful, I’d be pleased to hear from you.
